Access Class Sailing Competition

A couple of weeks ago my family and I went to Southport in Queensland for the National and International Access Class dinghy sailing competition at Southport Yacht Club, we had a great time and we came 8th out of 15 people which was pretty good considering the wind (about 20 knots) which was just about tipping us out of the boat.

We had 3 days of almost nonstop racing, so by the end we were completely exhausted but it was definitely worth it. They also had a three course dinner and disco on the second night which was a lot of fun.

All in all I had a great time and am definitely looking forward to going again next year.
